FAQ

Can I stage my own home?

It is hard for the homeowner to be objective about choices they have made. You become comfortable in your environment not noticing that your room lacks balance, or the clutter that has made its way into you home.  Let me see the house through the buyer’s eyes, neutralizing the rooms so that they will appeal to the greatest number of buyers.

A recent report by Gayle B.Ronan,MSNBC Contributor stated that "homes listed for sale without staging spent an average of 4.5 months on the market.Homes that were staged before being listed spent less than 1.5 months on the market."

Finished family room

Vacant rooms appear smaller... " empty rooms appear smaller than a furnished room. Without furniture it's difficult to tell the size and scale of a room. By placing furniture in a room the buyers are able to visualize how there furniture will fit in the space."

My house was decorated by an interior designer, so why do I need a stager?

Staging is not decorating it’s a tool used to assist in marketing a product. Designers work with you to make the house suit your specific taste and needs. A successful job in staging is where several buyers can walk in and imagine themselves living in your home.

Money is tight and I don't know if I can afford staging?

Remember staged homes sell 50% faster than non staged homes and statistics show for every dollar you spend the average return is four. I can work with any budget. Let’s eliminate the next month’s mortgage payment, by getting your home staged today.

I have a Realtor, so why do I need a Stager?

Your Realtor is in charge of marketing your property to potential buyers, and their time is better spent bringing in buyers. I can make suggestions as the 3rd party that the realtor might not be comfortable suggesting. A florist is present at every wedding , but it does not qualify them to take the pictures?

I’ve lived comfortably in my home for years .Won’t buyers see its potential?

Buyers will notice your family photos and your collections, not the great window view or the detailed wood work on the fireplace mantle .We want to remove these distractions showing the homes potential.
